Storing food in the DailyFresh drawer
Storage results for food stored
in the DailyFresh drawer
Observe the following tips if you find
that food you have stored does not
keep well (e.g. food becomes limp or
wilts after only being stored for a
short time):
– Only use the appliance for storing
fresh food. The condition of the food
when it is first placed in the appliance
is an important factor in determining
how long it stays fresh.
– Clean the drawer before storing food
in it.
– Allow very moist food to drain before
placing it in the drawer.
– Do not store food which is sensitive
to cold in the drawer (see "Food
which is not suitable for storing in the
refrigerator").
– Set the slide control to the correct
position for the food being stored (hu-
midity not increased or humidity in-
creased).
– Increased humidity is achieved by
the moisture present in the food be-
ing stored, i.e. the more food stored,
the higher the humidity.
If at the setting, too much moisture
has collected in the drawer and the
food has been affected, dry the floor
with a cloth and place a rack or sim-
ilar item in the drawer so that mois-
ture can then drip down.
If the humidity level becomes too low,
wrap the food in airtight packaging.
