A discharge of static electricity from a finger or other conductor can destroy static-sensitive devices or microcircuitry.

Open the computer as far as it will open. Lift the rear edge of the keyboard (1) until it rests at an angle. Slide the keyboard (2) toward the display until the tabs on the front edge of the keyboard disengage from the top cover.

If it is necessary to replace the display bezel or any of the display assembly subcomponents: Flex the inside edges of the top edge (1), the left and right sides (2), and the bottom edge (3) of the display bezel until the bezel disengages from the display back cover.

CAUTION: Before turning the display panel upside down, make sure the work surface is clear of tools, screws, and any other foreign objects.
