With the help of the following notes, minor faults in the performance of the
appliance, some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be put right
without contacting the Service Department.

Repair work to electrical appliances should only be carried out by a Miele
Service Technician in strict accordance with current local and national safety
regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be
dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorized work.
Problem
The display remains
dark.
The program does not
start when Spin has
been selected.
The display is dark and
the Start button is
flashing slowly.
The display is in a
different language.
The appliance stack
shakes during the spin
cycle.

Possible cause
There is no power to
the appliance stack.
The washer-extractor
has not been prepared
for using for the first
time.
The display has
switched off
automatically to save
energy (Standby
mode).
A different language
has been selected.
The feet are not level.
Remedy
Check whether
– the electricity supply to the
appliance stack is
switched on.
– the fuse or circuit breaker
has tripped.
Run the Cottons Universal
60°C program as described
in "Commissioning the
machine" section of the
separate booklet
"Washer-extractor
Commissioning, Program
chart and Settings" supplied.
Press one of the shortcut
buttons. Standby comes to an
end.
Set the language you want.
The flag symbol J will guide
you.
Level the appliance stack
(see "Installation and
connection").
