STAND INSTALLATION Carefully place the product screen side down on a cushioned surface that will protect product and screen from damage. Assemble the product stand with the product as shown. Install the 4 bolts securely, in the back of the product in the holes provided.
PREPARATION ATTACHING THE TV TO A WALL (This feature is not available for all models.) Set it up close to the wall so the product doesn’t fall over when it is pushed backwards. CI [COMMON INTERFACE] INFORMATION (IN DIGITAL MODE ONLY) This function enables you to watch some scrambled services (pay ser- vices). If you remove the CI Module, you can’t watch the pay services. PICTURE CONTROL IMAGE STICKING MINIMIZATION (ISM) METHOD A frozen of still picture from a PC/video game displayed on the screen for prolonged periods will result in a ghost image remaining even when you change the image. Avoid allowing a fixed image to remain on the set's screen for a long period of time.
LOW-POWER PICTURE MODE This is the function to reduce the power consumption of the set. It’s not available to use this function in LCD TV models. Press the MENU button and then select the OPTION menu. Press the button and then Factory Mode.

SELECTING DIGITAL AUDIO OUT This function lets you select your preferred Digital Audio Output. The set can output Dolby Digital in a channel only which broadcast Dolby Digital Audio. When it’s applied the Dolby Digital format, if you select Dolby Digital on Digital audio out menu, SPDIF Output will be out- putted Dolby Digital.

NICAM Reception (In Analogue Mode Only) If the set is equipped with the receiver for NICAM reception, the high quality NICAM (Near Instantaneous Companding Audio Multiplex) digital sound can be received. Sound output can be selected according to the type of received broadcast as follows by press- ing the I/II button repeatedly.

TIME SETTING CLOCK SETUP The clock is set automatically when receiving the digital signal. (You can set the clock manually only if the TV has no DTV sig- nal.) You must set to the time correctly before using on/off time function.
AUTO ON/OFF TIMER SETTING The Off time function automatically switches the set to standby at the preset time. Two hours after the set is switched on by the On time function it will automatically switch back to standby mode unless a but- ton has been pressed.
TIME SETTING AUTO SHUT-OFF SETTING If set to on and there is no input signal, the set turns off auto- matically after 10 minutes. Press the MENU button and then select the TIME menu. Press the button and then Auto Sleep. Press the button and then Off or On.
TIME ZONE SETUP When you select a Time Zone city, TV time is set by the time offset information based on Time Zone and GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) information which is received to broadcasting signal when time is set automatically by a digital signal. Press the MENU button and then select the TIME menu.
PARENTAL CONTROL / RATINGS SET PASSWORD & LOCK SYSTEM If you first enter the password, press ‘0’ , ‘0’ , ‘0’ , ‘0’ on the remote control handset. Press the MENU button and then select the OPTION menu. Press the button and then Lock System.
PARENTAL CONTROL This function operates according to information from the broadcasting station. Therefore if the signal has wrong information, this function dose not operates. Lets you set up blocking schemes to block specific chan- nels and ratings. A password is required to gain access to this menu. This set is programmed to remember which option it was last set to even if you turn the set off.

FASTEXT The teletext pages are colour coded along the bottom of the screen and are selected by pressing the correspond- ing coloured button. Page selection Press the button to select the index page. You can select the pages which are colour coded along the bottom line with the same coloured buttons. Corresponding to the SIMPLE teletext mode, you can select a page by entering its three digit page number with the NUMBER buttons in FASTEXT mode.
DIGITAL TELETEXT *This function works in UK only. The set gives you access to a digital teletext which is greatly improved in various aspects such as text, graphics and so on. This digital teletext can be accessed by special digital teletext services and specific services which broadcast digi- tal teletext.
