Problem solving guide

Minor faults in the performance of the appliance, some of which may result from
incorrect operation, can be put right without contacting the Service Department.
The following guide may help you to find the reason for a fault, and to correct it.
You should, however, note the following:

Installation work and repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried
out by a suitably qualified person in strict accordance with current local and
national safety regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons
could be dangerous.
Problem
You cannot switch
the appliance on.
The appliance is in
demo mode and is
not heating up.
The fan can still be
heard after the
appliance has been
switched off.

Possible cause and remedy
The fuse is defective or has tripped.
^ Reset the trip switch in the mains fuse box or replace
the fuse (minimum fuse rating -see data plate).
There may be a technical fault.
^ Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply for
approx. 1 minute.
If, after resetting the trip switch in the mains fuse box and
switching the appliance back on, the appliance will still
not heat up, contact a qualified electrician or the Miele
Service Department.
^ See "Settings / Showroom programme" for instructions
on how to deactivate this setting.
The appliance is fitted with a fan which removes steam
from the oven. The fan will continue to run for a while after
the appliance has been switched off.
It will switch itself off automatically after a while.
