Technical Information
At the start of the defrost cycle, the appropriate evaporator fan is switched on
for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes the appropriate defrost and drain heaters are
switched on.
If the evaporator NTC measures a temperature of 49°F (9.5°C) or after 60
minutes, the defrost heater is shut off. The drain heater stays on for another 8
minutes.
After the defrost cycle the appropriate compressor is switched on. The
evaporator fan remains off for 8 minutes or until the evaporator temperature
sensor reaches 30°F (-1°C).
After this, the appliance will switch to normal operation.

Drain Heater, Drain Channel
The drain heater (Figure 030-7, Item 1) is used to prevent the drain channel
(Figure 030-8, Item 1) from freezing and clogging.
