Many malfunctions and faults that can occur in daily operation can be easily reme-
died. You can save time and money in many cases, as you do not need to contact
Miele Customer Service.
Information to help you rectify faults yourself can be found at www.miele.com/ser-
vice.
The following tables are designed to help you to find the cause of a malfunction or a
fault and to resolve it.
Problem
Cooktop or burners
cannot be turned on.
The heating for one of
the burners turns on
and off.
The display is dark.
Possible cause and solution
There is no power to the range.
Check if the breaker has tripped. Contact a qualified
electrician or Miele Customer Service (for the mini-
mum fuse rating; see data tag).
There may be a technical fault.
Disconnect the range from the power supply for ap-
prox. 1 minute:
– Turn off the relevant breaker.
– Remove the screw-in fuse completely.
– Turn off the ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
If, after resetting/replacing the breaker or the GFCI, it
still will not turn on, contact a qualified electrician or
Miele Customer Service.
The "cycling" of the heating is normal. It is caused by
the electronic temperature control (see "How the burn-
ers work").
If the heating cycles at the highest power level, the
overheat protection has been triggered (see "Overheat
protection").
There is no power to the oven.
Check that the oven's electrical plug is correctly in-
serted in the socket and that the circuit breaker has
been switched to on.
Check if the breaker has tripped. If it has, contact a
qualified electrician or Miele Customer Service.
