    Calibrating the Battery IMPORTANT: Fully drain and recharge the battery at least every 60 days. IMPORTANT: You can check the battery gauge (battery meter) by double-clicking the Battery icon located on the Windows Taskbar. All batteries lose their charge when not being used for a long period of time. You may notice your battery gauge does not correctly display the battery charge level when you first receive your computer or if you have not used your computer for a long period.

    DVDs are "Regionalized" DVDs contain a region code. This code corresponds to codes the DVD manufacturers assign to different parts of the world. Your Compaq Prosignia computer's region code is set at the factory. The computer's region code must match the region code of the disc you are using for the DVD to play.
