Storing food in the PerfectFresh zone

Dry compartment

The dry compartment is particularly
suitable for storing perishable foods:
– Fresh fish and shellfish
– Meat, poultry, sausages
– Salads
– Dairy products such as yoghurt,
cheese, cream etc.
– Any other kind of food can also be
stored in this compartment as long
as it is wrapped.
The main advantage of the dry
compartment is the low temperature,
rather than the humidity. The humidity
in the dry compartment is similar to that
in a conventional refrigerator section.
Please note that foods rich in protein
deteriorate faster than others.
Shellfish, for example, deteriorates
faster than fish, and fish deteriorates
faster than meat.
For food safety reasons, always keep
these foods covered or wrapped.

Humidity-controlled
compartments ,, .
Each humidity-controlled compartment
has a regulator that you can use to
regulate the humidity in the
compartments.
Move the regulator to either the , or .
setting.
Low humidity level ,
When the , setting is selected, the
humidity-controlled compartment
becomes a dry compartment. The
regulator opens the vents to the
compartment so that humidity can
escape (see "Dry compartment").

High humidity level .

When the . setting is selected, the
compartment is suitable for storing fruit
and vegetables.
The regulator closes the vents to the
compartment so that humidity remains
in the compartment.
The level of humidity in the
compartment is mainly affected by the
type and quantity of the food being
stored if it is not wrapped.
If the amount of food is too small, the
humidity may be too low.
Tip: If a small amount of food is being
stored, wrap it in tightly sealed
packaging.
Condensate may develop in the
humidity-controlled compartments if
the humidity level is high. Remove
condensate with a dry cloth.
