Solid-state drives are designed with a notch to prevent incorrect insertion.

Lift the tape (1) that secures the memory cover to the heat sink.

Lift the tape (2) that secures the memory cover to the SSD cover.

Use a tab (3) to lift the memory cover off the system board. The cover is held in place by clips.
