Safety features
System lock
The system lock is deactivated if
there is a power failure.
The system lock can only be activated
if all cooking zones are turned off.
The cooktop is equipped with a system
lock to prevent the cooking zones from
being turned on inadvertently.
If a power level is selected when the
system lock is activated,  appears in
the cooking zone display for several
seconds.
Activating
 Turn the knobs for both front cooking
zones counterclockwise to the point
of resistance at the same time and
hold the knobs until  appears in the
cooking zone display.
Deactivating
 Turn the knobs for both front cooking
zones counterclockwise to the point
of resistance at the same time and
hold the knobs until  goes out in
the cooking zone display.

Safety shut-off
Excessive operating time
The safety shut-off mechanism is trig-
gered automatically if a cooking zone is
heated for an unusually long period of
time. This time depends on the power
level selected. If the time has been ex-
ceeded, the cooking zone turns off and
the residual-heat indicator appears. If
you turn the cooking zone off and on
again, it will be ready for operation
again.
