IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - INSTALLATION
Risk of damage caused by incorrect installation.
Incorrect installation can damage the cooktop.
The cooktop must only be installed and connected to the oven by a qualified
person.
Damage from falling objects.
Take care not to damage the cooktop when installing cabinetry or a ventilation
hood above it.
Install the cabinetry and ventilation hood before installing the cooktop.
The countertop must be heat-resistant (up to 212°F / 100°C), so
that it does not become deformed or the veneer detached. The wall
strips must be heat-resistant as well.
After the installation of the cooktop, the electrical cord may not be
subject to mechanical stress.
Measures must be taken to ensure that it is not possible to touch
the underside of the installed cooktop. For this reason, in some
cases, a front cover panel and bottom cover panel must be installed
(see "Installation – Bottom cover panel").
Observe carefully the safety clearances listed on the following
pages.
