Bottom cover panel
Measures must be taken to ensure that
it is not possible to touch the underside
of the installed cooktop.
For this reason, a front cover panel and
bottom cover panel must be installed if:
- The cooktop is wider than the range/
oven installed below it.
- The cooktop and the range/oven be-
low it are installed with an offset.
The distance from the top edge of the
countertop to the bottom cover panel
must be at least 2 3/16" (55 mm).
An air gap of 3/8" (10 mm) must be
maintained between the bottom cover
panel and the rear wall.
