Cleaning and care
Preparing the appliance for
cleaning
Switch the appliance off.
appears in the display and cooling is
switched off. If this is not the case, the
safety lock is on (see "Further settings -
Switching the safety lock on/off").
Disconnect the appliance from the
mains. Switch off at the wall and
withdraw the plug from the socket, or
switch off the mains circuit breaker.
Take any food out of the appliance
and store it in a cool place.
Remove the door shelves and the
bottle shelves from the door.
Take out the freezer drawers and
glass shelves.
Take out all other removable parts for
cleaning.

Dismantling an adjustable shelf
Before cleaning the adjustable shelves,
remove the white protective strip at the
back. Proceed as follows:
Place the shelf on a worktop covered
with a soft material (e.g. a tea towel).
Then pull the protective strip off.
After cleaning the shelf reattach the
protective strip.
