IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
16
To prevent the risk of fire, the following textiles must never be dried
in the tumble dryer:
- Items which have been cleaned using chemicals (e.g., professional
dry-cleaning agents).
- Items which contain a large proportion of rubber, foam rubber, or
rubber-like materials. For example, products made from latex foam
rubber, shower caps, waterproof textiles, rubberized articles, and
items of clothing and pillows with foam rubber filling.
- Items which contain padding or fillings (e.g., pillows, jackets) and
are damaged. The filling could fall out and cause a risk of fire.
Do not expose the tumble dryer to air which contains chlorine, fluo-
rine, or other solvent vapors. This contaminated air can cause a fire.
The program finishes when the cooling phase starts. Many pro-
grams are followed by a cooling phase to ensure that the items are not
too hot to handle when you remove them (this also reduces the risk of
the laundry self-igniting). Always remove all items of laundry from the
dryer immediately after the cooling phase.
