Customer Service
In the event of a malfunction, contact Customer Service.
When contacting Customer Service, please quote the model, serial number (SN), and ma-
terial number (mat. no.) of your machine. This information can be found on the data plate.
The data plate is visible in the door ring when the drum door is open, or on the back of the
machine at the top:

Please also tell Customer Service the fault message that appears on the machine display.
Use only original Miele spare parts. Customer Service will also require the model, serial
number (SN), and material number (mat. no.) when ordering.

out external assistance. You can save time and money in many cases, as you do not need to
contact Miele Customer Service.
The following tables are designed to help you to find the cause of a malfunction or an error
and to resolve it. However, please note:
 Repair work to electrical appliances must only be carried out by an authorized techni-
cian. Incorrect repairs can cause considerable danger to users.
A program cannot be started
Problem
The display remains dark,
and the Start/Stop sensor
control does not light up or
flash.
The following appears in
the display:
F -Door lock fault.
You can continue by pressing
the "Start/Stop" button
The display is dark and the
Start/Stop sensor control
is flashing slowly.
Possible cause and solution
No power is being supplied to the washer-dryer stack.
Check whether the washer-dryer stack is switched on.
Check whether the washer-dryer stack is connected to the
power supply.
Check whether the fuse has tripped.
The washer-dryer stack has switched off automatically to
save energy.
Switch the washer-dryer stack back on with the  button.
The door is not locked properly. The door lock could not en-
gage.
Close the door again.
Start the program again.
If the fault message appears again, contact Customer Ser-
vice.
The display has switched off automatically to save energy.
Touch any of the controls. The display switches back on.
