Unexpected behaviour
Problem
The oven compartment
does not heat up.
After moving house, the
steam combination oven
no longer switches from
the heating-up phase to
the cooking phase.
During operation, an
unusually high amount
of steam leaks out or
steam leaks out from
different places to usual.
During cleaning with
water has
HydroClean
collected up to the very
top of the drip channel.
The

Start at
functions are not
available.

Possible cause and remedy
Demo mode is active.
The steam combination oven can be operated,
however the heating elements will not work.
Deactivate Demo mode (see "Settings - Showroom
programme").
The oven compartment has been warmed up by a
warming drawer in operation underneath it.
Open the door and let the oven compartment cool
down.
Altitude affects the boiling point of water. If you move
house, the appliance will need to be reset for the new
altitude if this differs from the old one by more than
300 m.
To adjust the boiling temperature, you need to
descale the appliance (see "Cleaning and care –
Maintenance").
The door is not closed properly.
Close the door.
The door seal is not correctly installed.
If necessary, press it in all the way round the door to
make sure it is installed smoothly and evenly.
The door seal is damaged, e.g. cracked.
Contact Miele to have the door seal replaced.
Do not carry out cooking programmes using steam
or cleaning with
The steam combination oven is leaking.
Remove the water and finish the cleaning process if
necessary.
Call Miele.
Finish at
The temperature in the oven compartment is too
high, e.g. after a programme has finished.
Open the door and let the oven cool down.
These functions are not generally available in
maintenance programmes.
